1.     Administrative and Procedural Guidelines

GICBR members are expected to adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct, which includes:

  • Upholding biblical principles
  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest
  • Upholding the reputation of the profession
  • Avoid plagiarism

  3.     Categories Of Membership   

Application form fee: $10 or N7,500

The Global Institute of Chartered Biblical Researchers (GICBR) has five(5) main categories or stages of membership, namely:

🩸 Category 1: Associate Membership

Duration: Two (2) weeks intensive training in Biblical Research, Writing, and Publication

Publication: Two (2) research papers.

Fee: $10 or N7,500

Certification/Award:  Associate Biblical Researcher (ABR)

🩸 Category 2:  Intermediate Membership

Duration: Four (4) weeks intensive training in Biblical Research, Writing, and Publication

Publication: Four (4) research papers

Fee: $20 or N15,500

Certification/Award:  Associate Biblical Researcher (IBR)

🩸 Category 3: Chartered Membership

Duration: Eight (8) weeks intensive training in Biblical Research, Writing, and Publication

Publication: Eight (8) research papers

Fee: $30 or N25,500

Certification/Award:  Chartered Biblical Researcher (CBR)

🩸 Category 4: Fellow Membership

Duration: Ten (10) weeks intensive training in Biblical Research, Writing, and Publication

Publication: Ten (10) research papers

Fee: $50 or N45,500

Certification/Award:  Fellow Biblical Researcher (FBR)

🩸 Category 5: Senior Fellow Membership

Duration: Ten (10) weeks intensive training in Biblical Research, Writing, and Publication

Publication: Fifteen (15) research papers

Fee: $75 or N70,500

Certification/Award:  Senior Fellow Biblical Researcher (SFBR)

 4.     Designatory Letters

Members of the Institute are entitled to use the following designatory letters after their names:

In the case of a Registered Member, the letters “RBR” (Registered Biblical Researcher);

In the case of an Intermediate Member, the letters “IBR” (Intermediate Biblical Researcher);

In the case of an Associate Member, the letters “ABR” (Associate Biblical Researcher);

In the case of a Chartered Member, the letters “CBR” (Chartered Biblical Researcher);

In the case of a Fellow, the letters “FBR” (Fellow Biblical Researcher); and

In the case of a Senior Fellow, the letters “SFBR” (Senior Fellow Biblical Researcher).
